Falling For Spring

Although Spring has sprung here in New England, I find myself grabbing warmer, fallier colors. It has been a bit rainier here so maybe the cloudiness is to blame...

This whole outfit was a huge score- Dress-10 bucks, Cardi- 4 bucks, Necklace- Free, Flats- 15 bucks!! Everyone says I shop to much but when I do, I shop in style!!

You can thank Matt for driving to meet me for 10 minutes to take these pictures on my break!! Starbucks in hand!

Jackie's Daily Bread

A few weeks ago I went on a girls weekend to the beautiful Newport, RI. As we toured multi billion dollar mansions, I came across a book in one of the gift stores. "What Would Jackie Do?" by Shelly Branch and Sue Callaway shares life lessons seen through the eyes of Jackie O! I fell in love with the book and had to take it home!

Every once and a while I want to share with you some of the lessons I am learning from Jackie!

"Overlook faux pas..."
I love the world of fashion, but sometimes it is hard to not fall into trends because others are doing so. I am a huge fan of personal style, (although I tend to wear the same uniform of dress and cardi everyday!!) but as a young fashionista it is hard to not love a Coach bag because it is Coach. One of the first things Jackie has taught me is although you make love your Gucci, love the piece, not the brand.

What Would Jackie Do??

Before I start up my new feature here at The Cat's Meow, I want to hear what you think... tell me, What Would Jackie Do?? After a year here on this blog I hope you know my love affair with Jackie O and her classic, chic style, and I want to share my thoughts on What Jackie Would Do!! Before that post let's here from   all my fashionable readers!

Also, for those of you who I know personally, know I have been buried in school work, but TA DA I will be done Thursday!! I cannot wait to get my life back into order.. which includes The Cat's Meow!

This past week was really rainy in Southern New England, and I hate dressing for rain! My outfits this week were out of my element and I spent as much time as I could in yoga pants and a tee!! With that said, this weekend was quite lovely and I ripped out a dress after a long rainy week.

Back To Reality

This weekend was great, I was on a short girls weekend.. but yesterday I was smack dab into reality again! Yesterday once I got home I had laundry to do..(3 loads..) I paid some bills, and had to run to Old Navy... it was the last day of their sale!!

Because all my clothes were in the laundry I pulled out a knit and a pair of jeans that I don't wear often. It is funny how things like that happen, because I love the casual look of the two together!

ALSO!! I am in the process of adding a new feature to The Cat's Meow.. so stay tuned while I work out all the details... eek!! I's so excited!

Oh... The Life of a College Student During Finals!

Life has been so crazy!! I have been preparing for finals, and I graduate this year so I have been super involved with school. Also.. I have destroyed my camera since I have last posted, so I have been relaying on Matt to take pictures with my phone. The combo has left me with no post for about 2 weeks!!

Alot has happened in the past 2 weeks- a school fashion show, a crazy crazy work week, a baptism, a 4 year old's birthday party, preparing for a short girls weekend, and a few date nights with Matt!

I only have one look from the weeks, but I am sure I will be wearing a variation of the few outfits I had. (One included a wicked cute skirt and blouse that included mix matching polka dots!!)

I've Heard I Look Like Spring

Today was a beautiful day in New England, and I wore the dress I bought for Easter. I am not a huge fan of orange, but I saw this dress and thought I would try it. I just fell in love with the shape and how comfortable it was and had to have it!

Originally I was going pair this dress with navy because I love the thought of the combo, but I really like the cream. It really tones down the color and print!

Some of you may remember that last month I attended a Boston Based Blog Conference, and besides the wonderful experience, I went home with a awesome swag bag! Inside the bag was a $50 gift card for a jewelry website called InPink. Last week I ordered myself 3 new bracelets, and paired one set of bracelets I received today!

Photos thanks to Matt!

Surprise Lunch Date

I have been incredibly busy. Work, school, lunch with Nana, repeat.

I just had to let that out- my life has been super crazy!! Here in New England the weather hasn't been as sunny and warm as it was a few weeks, and I have been dying to break out the few new Summer dresses I have bought. This Saturday I worked a really long day, which means I was indoors, which means dress time for me!

Because I have been so busy with my crazy life I haven't seen much of my family. Saturday my dad popped into work (total a woman's clothing store haha) and meet me for lunch. He snapped these photos for me while we were eating in the truck, and soon enough mom was right behind him!
